Suzhou pipe bending processing technology is becoming increasingly common, and people's quality requirements for pipe bending products are also increasing. To ensure the quality of pipe bending processing, it is necessary to design a reasonable pipe bending mold. When designing and making molds, it is necessary to design their process parameters reasonably. The bending of metal pipes is widely used in modern industrial fields, mainly in industries such as automobiles, machinery, environmental protection, chemical engineering, and civil use.
Based on years of work experience, several key points should be particularly considered in the design of bending pipe processing molds: the standard structure of a set of bending pipe molds mainly consists of five parts: wheel mold, clamp mold, guide mold, core rod, anti wrinkle plate, etc. During operation, the action process is: the core rod enters the core, the clamp mold clamps the pipe and rotates with the wheel mold, the guide mold presses the pipe and follows the bending of the pipe, while the anti wrinkle plate is fixed. When the bending angle reaches the set angle, the core rod exits, the guide mold and clamp mold release, reset, and complete the entire action.
In the design of bending pipe processing molds, the core step is the design of wheel molds. Usually, design starts from this area as well. When the outer diameter D, wall thickness δ, and bending radius R (the three design elements) of the product pipe are determined, the rebound of the pipe must be considered when designing the bending radius of the wheel mold, in order to determine the bending radius of the mold.
Usually, in the design of bending pipe processing molds, the diameter of the wheel mold cavity is designed based on the outer diameter of the pipe. The wall thickness and outer diameter of the pipe determine its strength, directly affecting the clamping length of the clamping mold. The clamping length of the wheel mold matches the clamping mold. Due to the frequent clamping impact of the clamping die and the bending force of the pipe, the wheel mold requires good overall toughness, good impact resistance, and wear-resistant surface of the cavity. Currently, the heat treatment process of quenching and tempering+nitriding is generally adopted, and the surface hardness of the cavity can reach HRC55 to HRC60.
In order to ensure the quality of Suzhou bend pipe processing, the main size of the clamp mold design is the length dimension, which mainly depends on the length of the straight section between the two bends of the product. The clamp mold length dimension is too small to clamp the pipe, and the pipe is prone to slipping during bending. The appearance of the operation may cause pits in the bent part, which does not meet the product requirements. On the contrary, if the size is too large, it is easy to flatten and deform the previous bend, which is not allowed in the process. Therefore, it is important to choose the appropriate length.
